Recording, transcription and your encrypted memory stay on the iPhone. Only the conversation text — never the audio — goes encrypted to the AI (Anthropic Claude), which under its commercial terms does not use it for training.

With consent — by design
You start every session deliberately and confirm it each time; without that confirmation the record button stays disabled. While recording, a visible indicator shows Hearium is listening.
Planned: a mode using your own AI key — so the analysis runs through your own Anthropic account instead of ours.

Is this even allowed?
Hearium is meant for your own conversations. It only starts when you start it, and clearly shows that it is listening. Follow your local law on recording.
Does Hearium listen all the time?
No. Hearium never runs in the background. You press a button when a conversation counts, and a visible indicator shows it is active.
Where do my conversations go?
Recording, transcription and your memory stay encrypted on the iPhone — no account. For the analysis itself (spotting patterns, checking contradictions) only the conversation text, never the audio, is sent encrypted through our proxy to the AI model (Anthropic Claude), and is not used for training.
Is this a lie detector?
No. Hearium doesn't decide what's true. It shows you how things are said and gives you the clarity to judge for yourself.
